Introduction:
You are part of the Oscar committee looking to review M. Night Shymalan as a possible candidate for Best Director of the Year award. Requirements for this award are to look at past movie reviews, previews, and director chats. Each group will be given a specific task and be asked to present to the class as to whether or not Mr. Shymalan is qualified.
Task: you will be looking at previews, reviews, and video clips for this presentation. you must compile the important information in a two slide power point presentation for the class. Make sure you are finding information that is specific to M. Night Shymalan and the techniques he is using in his films.
Process:
Group one: As part of the committee your job is to cite three reviews of Shymalan's works, one specifically being the Village. Please cite positive and negative aspects of the movies. Compile in a two slide power point presentation.
Group Two: As part of the committee your job is to view the different movies of Shymalan. you will do this by finding three previews of his movies. Present these previews to the committee. Form a case from these previews as to what genre they are and if the reflect a certain style and or theme. Compile in a two slide Power point presentation.
Group Three: Your job is to find one interview with the director and background information. Compile in a two slide power point presentation.
Evaluation: You will be evaluated on your class participation and compilation of the power point.
